Ice Maker Repair FAQ

Cloudy ice usually results from mineral-rich water or air trapped during freezing. A water filter change or adjustment to the freeze cycle often resolves this.

Verify the unit is turned on, the water supply is connected, and the water filter is not overdue. If these check out, a professional diagnosis can identify inlet valve, thermostat, or control issues.

Sub-Zero recommends filter replacement every 12 months or sooner if you notice changes in ice quality or water taste. North Shore water conditions may warrant more frequent changes.
